What is the current state of the mobile platforms?

We took a few weeks of hiatus to see where the product was.

We seemed to be running into roadblocks where Android features were underdeveloped or non existent and many iPhone features were being newly implemented in the 1.0 release.

To be specific, last time we were actively developing, the ability to update a table row wasn't available for Android.

I checked the Roadmap (http://developer.appcelerator.com/doc/mobile/roadmap/) as well as the Release Notes (http://developer.appcelerator.com/doc/mobile/release_notes) and I haven't seen any Android specific updates.

Can someone give me a high level update of where the mobile platform currently stands as well as Android and iPhone platforms respectively.

Thank you

  • Good to know.

Don, do you know if the table row update functionality has been implemented in Android.

Maybe it's just me, it wasn't obvious from the list of issues.

  • Hi Blair,

Best thing to probably do is try out the latest KitchenSink on an Android.
(I do agree though, that the iPhone is way ahead on features, still)

I'm pretty sure that tableRow updating has been implemented, yes ;)

  • @Blair, sorry for the delay in responding. Until we get email notifications I have to back through by hand.

Marshall says he's pretty sure he put it in 1.2.0. So if you run into a problem, it's most likely a bug.
