Apple Approval Process?

"Thank you for submitting your application to the App Store. Unfortunately, your application, MC Solutions, cannot be posted to the App Store because it contains minimal user functionality. Its sole purpose is marketing or promoting your product/service, and would not be appropriate for the Apple Store. "

What is their ratio? 1 page of info, 2 pages of user interaction?

  • I don't think there is a ratio. There was that Jersey Shore Duck app that had a similar thing (http://bit.ly/c0D2kP) but, passed after the developer added a twitter feed.

Here is another posting with alittle more about the process http://bit.ly/cC7mXK

  • Thankfully the App store is cracking down big time on apps that are more promotion than app, and that rehash basic functionality.

They may even move toward actual quality offerings in the majority. Can you imagine?

  • We got in the apple store, I sent an email to apple, they replied that we needed more user functionality. So we've added client directories, and more forms. and 2 days later, we're on the app store.
