Desktop UI - Do all my windows need to be rectangles?
Hi,
I'm wondering if its possible to build complex UI's for the desktop. ie: Not having each of the windows be rectangular like tools like Winamp for example (http://blog.winamp.com/2010/04/29/samsung-corby-skin-spotlight/)
And can I also pin the application so its always on the front and doesn't lose focus. ie: I want a translucent interface that sits up in the corner of the screen no matter what other apps are "in focus".
Just wanting to dig in to how powerful it is for more customized desktop interfaces.
Cheers!

You can turn off chrome in either the code or via tiapp.xml for the window.
Once you do that, you can control 100% of the actual window chrome via graphics to create any shape you want.

I can understand that I get customized sizing which is great, but…
So can this also set it to always be on top? I'm looking for the ability to always be on the screen, (with translucency).
For "standard" desktop apps that interface with web services this looks awesome, but for using it to build "old skool" desktop apps, not so sure… and that's still very relevant for high performance (Audio/Visual) apps…
