What IDE do you suggest to edit js files etc?

I have latest Titanium installed. Once it generates the template project code, I want to edit different js files.

What IDE that most people use?
Is there any IDE that show the project files shown on one side and you can switch between them while editing them easily?

Thanks

  • It really depends on the platform you are using.

I have heard people using Dreamweaver, though I prefer Textmate and / or Espresso myself. The latter two are OS X applications.

Both have some sort of project management and Textmate has beautiful integration with SVN, which is my preferred source code management system.

  • I really enjoy using Eclipse with the JavaScript workspace view.
If you download the Eclipse PHP Developer bundle, you can then choose to edit in a JS View.

I find Eclipse very powerful while not bloated or forcing you to do something a certain way.

  • NetBeans has a very nice JavaScript editor. It also includes CVS and SVN integration.
