I crawled through this Q&A section and found nothing.
We build an iPad App with Titanium (so nice! Thank you guys!) and want to display it on an external display (beamer) with the dock connector to VGA adapter.
So I googled and found out that the developer has to enable this feature for his app.
We want to display exactly the same as on the iPad display (mirror it).
Didn't find anything on this topic anywhere.
Bump… no one?
I have found codes that suggest ObjectiveC can be added to an XCode project to make it VGA-compatible.
Where does the Ti framework currently stand on iPhone/iPad apps and VGA-compatability?
BUMP! I'm also very eagerly awaiting support for external display / VGA-out. It was scheduled for Titanium 1.5 but that release has come and gone :(
The only evidence I can find is this bug/issue ticket: https://appcelerator.lighthouseapp.com/projects/32238/tickets/1185-expose-uiscreen-so-ipad-applications-can-support-the-vga-adapter#ticket-1185-6
Can we please, please get an ETA on this feature? I have some clients who are very anxious to see support for this. Can the feature be sponsored or something to make sure it gets into the next release?
I found this link which outlines how VGA out can be achieved in Xcode. There's even a downloadable Xcode project to try out.
Anyone know how we could implement something similar in Titanium?
I got a response on the premium helpdesk that the guys have a module ready for this, they said it should be coming out in a few weeks. No word on if it's full VGA output support, or just mirroring support, though.
I'm definitely interested in full UIScreen support (being able to display unique content on multiple screens, not just simple mirroring).
Looks like it's part of Ti+Plus :) I'm going to try it out now…
