Ad Layers

I've just been looking at Smaato, Has anyone looked into this, The problem i have is that until you've tried them all you can't tell if they're any good.

Admob is currently paying me about 1cent per click, so I'm just about done with them.

Does anyone have experience they'd like to share. And have they got the modules added to titanium, as this is the important part after all.

  • Just signed up & downloaded their SDK.
I'll look into integrating it into the AdMob android module I have.

  • The Android lib of Smaato is a little flaky but there's a beta version of the Ti lib available at http://CrucialDivide.com/mobilesdk-dasher-ads-1.4-linux.zip which is current for the mainline Ti source as of today.

It's built for Linux and supports Android.

You'll need to extract & use it as you do for manual installs of the Ti SDK and you can find instructions at the top of Jeff's post here .

It'll appear as dasher-ads-1.4 sdk in the Ti IDE. An example of it's use with Smaato can be found: http://gist.github.com/457877 and for AdMob: http://gist.github.com/439986

There's still some work on it but the final version should be available shortly. I'm just waiting back on a bug report with Smaato.

You can follow the source for this feature here:

    • I've just tried to keep all the features I'm developing in separate branches. Ti are welcome to it - it's a little rough around the edges but I was waiting to integrate other ad providers - so I could clean up the interface.

    • David, Can you share your sample code for integration for Admob\Smatto? Have you integrated their native SDK or using their JS TAG? Thanks.
