FEATURE REQ: Support for opening files in other apps: UIDocumentInteractionController

Since 3.2 more and more apps are supporting UIDocumentInteractionController instead of using custom URL handles for opening files in other applications. Are there plans to support this in the future (I don't see any documentation on it currently being supported).

Thanks

  • Just wondering if this is or will be possible with Titanium. Ideally I'd love for documents in my app to be able to be opened by any app that publishes itself as an application able to open that specific file type.

this is common in apps now. You'll see an OPEN IN… option and a list of apps that are capable of opening it.

    anyone?

  • Interesting. That seems to be ipad specific. Also i'm not sure if thats the same as UIDocumentInteractionController but it may be. Hopefully they let us what this is when they update the documentation. Thanks for the info. I saw your other post. Let me know if you hear anything back.
