Whats happened with the forum ?

Hi,

I can't find the community forums anymore (http://support.appcelerator.net/discussions)

Are forums down or do you refresh them ? I'm a "old school" developer and I don't like the Question and Answer/Twitter style - Think a phpBB (or vBulletin or something similar) would be the better way for a quick and effective community exchange.

Thank you very much

  • Agree with you - this non-chronological ordering is crazy.

  • Please make a readable forum, chronological, clean and with some categories like:

    Titanium Desktop

    • php
    • python
    • javascript
    • database
      Titanium Mobile
    • iphone
    • android

At moment there is absolutely no real way to contribute code samples, discuss on specific elements and most important: No real way to find answers for problems with a already posted solution… ("Search Questions and Answers" has do option to specify a desktop or mobile, php or python… related search)

  • I agree too.

Just about impossible to follow any particular subject or question.

Result the same questions are asked over and over.

  • I totally agree with you guys and have noticed quite a few people mentioning their disapproval. So I have just launched a dedicated Titanium forum -

    www.talktitanium.com

Drop by and discuss Titanium in the manner to which you have become accustomed!

    Thanks
    Sam

  • I agree…And to top it all off, the only browser that I can access these new forums with is IE on my windows VM. Chrome, FF, Safari all just take me in a login loop.

They should just reinitiaize the old forums and let their developers pick.

  • Login with Firefox seems to be impossible… (Need to login 30-40 times).

Community options/documentation in AIR is even better - But Titanium is the better environment - Hope so much for a forum/Bulletin Board

The developers make a great job at titanium but I can't understand why they fail on essential thinks like a forum…

BTW: For Wordpress (think the logins on this site will work with Wordpress ?!) you'll find a bridge to phpBB: http://www.wp-united.com/
