Package iPhone app for non-distribution

Is it possible to package an iPhone app without being registered in the Apple developer program? I want to package the app for local testing.

  • this might be possible on jailbroken iphones, also it might be possible to generate a developer provision file and certificate manually instead of using the developer section on apples webseite. i found some instruction on the net some days ago, however didn't bookmark it
