New Q&A forum vs old

Is it true that with the new and improved forum/q&A interface, we are no longer be able to upload the screen shots when we are in need of describing a problem?

And also, if you noticed, when tagging the questions with comma seperation as suggested….. the comma seperation does no good. For example, I've tagged this very question as "new q&a forum, screen shots" - aiming to result 2 tags, but the system will create 5 tags with a totally messed up order. ( i.e, q&a - forum - screen - new - shots )

Do you guys also feel that the new forum interface was a step backward?

  • I'm not so keen on this Q&A thing either, its very difficult to find the most relevant question.

If you are interested I have just launched http://www.talktitanium.com a forum for the discussion of all things Ti related. Pop-by if you have a minute, it's extremely new so we need plenty of help to get it off the ground :-)

    Thanks
    Sam

(sorry Appcelerator guys for posting this in many questions but I'm just using the most direct method to promote the site! i'm not trying to steal your thunder, just encourage users! Codestrong!)

  • Not a fan of the new forum, agree that it feels like a step backwards.

  • This answer has nothing to do with the original thread.

How do you post a new question to the forum? I'm unable to locate the link ASK NEW QUESTION. I'm baffled. It looks like free plan members cannot participate in forums. I guess I need to click on "UPGRADE".

Is this understanding correct? Or am I missing the link?

  • Yeah, this Q&A forum is so frustrating. I would so much rather have a regular forum/BB type like phpBB, etc.

The stackoverflow model only really works for an insane volume of questions and constant answers. For something like this site, a regular BB is much more of a useful solution.
