Just can't seem to get Android working. (XP)

Well, I tried getting 1.2.1, I tried the kitchen sink, and I tried a test application. The Kitchen sink will not run as the SDK window is stuck in "loading…" and the sample application has a blank window in the "Run Emulator" tab and the comment of "This project is not configured to run for Android." in the "Run on Device" tab.

I also tried adding the ti.android.debug property and making sure it's set to true.

Anyone?

  • Hey John..

Did you tell Developer where your installation of the Android SDK is? Also which version(s) of the SDK have you installed? At a bare minimum you'll need the 1.6 SDK..

  • Hi. Sure did. Android 2.1, API 7 revision 1, and it detects the SDK when I create a mobile test application.

  • Update: I opted to add 1.6 SDK as well as 2.1 (And API's 2.1) and then relaunched Developer, and surprise surprise, it loaded the SDK, and I was able to launch the emulator. (In the SDK drop down, it now shows 1.6, 2.1 and API's 2.1) KitchenSink launched using SDK 1.6 but 2.1 and API's 2.1 did not. (There are some wires crossed somewhere.)
