How to make the app check for updates?

I'm currently working on a desktop application and I would like it to automatically check for updates. Is there any way to do this?

  • maybe there are no automatic way?

    If now, you can set an internal constant for your app to represent version number and use http to access an online version number.
    If there is an update, use http to download the latest version?
