Run on Device - Samsung Moment Android

I am attempting to run an application on my mobile device - a Samsung Moment by Sprint - and I am getting an "Install Error. Timed out waiting for device to be ready, you may try reconnecting your USB cord."

My device is connected properly - I can otherwise connect to it fine from my laptop.

Any ideas on what might be wrong?

  • What Desktop OS are you using? I don't have a Samsung Moment, is it running Android 1.6 or better? Have you enabled USB debugging and install from third party sources in Settings?

  • I am using Windows 7 64 bit, and it looks like the Samsung Moment is only running Android 1.5. Is this the problem? Do I need to be using a phone running at least 1.6?
