iTunes hangs-up during App install

Hi all*,

I tried to install the new KitchenSink App to my development iPhone but unfortunately iTunes hangs-up during "Run on Device" install.

Encountered someone the same problem?

I'm using Titanium Developer 1.2.1 and Titanium SDK 1.3.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Cheers,
Markus

  • Hi Danno,

my mac os version is 10.6.3 and the iTunes version is 9.1.1.
    Titanium Developer = 1.2.1
The same behaviour with SDK 1.2.0 and 1.3.0.

    Here some Debug outputs:

    [INFO] Executing XCode build…
[BEGIN_VERBOSE] Executing XCode Compiler [toggle output]
    [DEBUG] executing command: xcodebuild -configuration Debug -sdk iphoneos3.1.3 CODE_SIGN_ENTITLEMENTS= GCC_PREPROCESSOR_DEFINITIONS='DEPLOYTYPE=test' PROVISIONING_PROFILE[sdk=iphoneos]=XXXXXXXX CODE_SIGN_IDENTITY[sdk=iphoneos]=iPhone Developer: Markus Kopf IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=3.1 TARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY=iPhone
[INFO] Installing application in iTunes … one moment
    [INFO] iTunes sync initiated

After "iTunes sync initiated" nothing happens.

    Cheers,

  • Small update regarding my problem.

If the iPhone isn't connected to my mac the installation of an App works fine. If I connect the iPhone itunes hangs up.

Am I alone with this issue?

    Cheers,
    Markus

  • It isn't hanging up. You need to configure iTunes to sync application. The default setting is to NOT sync apps, but this needs to be changed. To do so:

    1. Open iTunes
    2. Connect your device
    3. Click the Apps tab
    4. Check "sync apps" (top) and "automatically sync new apps" (bottom)

    This worked for me.
