alert window like calender
Hello
Is is possible to create a alert window like a calendar alert from my application. I want to alert the user for something or is Push notifications the way to go?

Hi Dieter,
Push notifications would be the only way to do this on iPhone. In future releases we will support background processes that could do the same thing, though, as per the capabilities of the 4.0 SDK.

Following on from what Kevin said, I think there's a new feature in OS4 called 'local notifications' may be worth checking Apple docs on that to see if it's what you need.
