YouTube Plugin warning:

I asked a previous question which I was able to figure out. I finally have a working embed code and it shows on the device. However when clicking on the play button I get the following:

Unable to read symbols for "/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/4.0 (8A293)/Symbols/System/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/YouTubePlugIn.webplugin/YouTubePlugIn" (file not found).

This prevents me from playing the video. However, the thumbnail loads properly and everything looks like its going to work except the playing of the video.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • This is on device? or in simulator ?
Again, you won't be able to play youtube files on simulator because it does not have the youtube app.

    • I tested on an ipod tpuch ios4 with the 1.3.2 sdk and it works.
Maybe there is something else you are doing there?
      Can you post some code?

    • Thanks for replying:

The code I'm using is available here.

As I said before, the funny things is the fact that the thumbnail appears with the play button on it, however I get the error on the console and the play button does nothing.

      Thanks
