I am confused with titanium iphone app, is it web app look like native or native app or something esle??

I am really confused with Titanium Application.

Does Titanium App is web app stay in your device look like native app??

Does Titanium App is a real native app??

or something else ??

Final complied version of Titanium Application, run over the iphone OS or run on some intermediate platform build over the iphone os?
