Using camera overlay prevents video from being edited

After assigning an overlay in the showCamera function the allowEditing setting seems to be disregarded. The overlay shows, but no edit bar shows up after the video is taken.

Titanium.Media.showCamera
(
    overlay: my_camera_overlay,
    allowEditing: true,
    mediaTypes: Titanium.Media.MEDIA_TYPE_VIDEO
);

  • Have you tried setting your UiView "my_camera_overlay" property "touchEnabled" to false?

    This worked for me before, but with the latest nightly build of 1_7_x and master it does not seem to work.

  • Unfortunately Nils no news on this. I could not update my iPhone App because of this problem since iOS 5 was released. I have been looking at alternatives to Appcelerator because of issues like these. It is not worth my investment anymore.
