apple iphone sdk on windows

I'm using windows 7,
I've downloaded titanium developer (1.2.1) and when creating a new project it states that the iphone SDK is not installed, this would imply that the SDK is avaialble for windows yet looking at previous threads (all dated 3-4 months ago) they say that the SDK for windows is not available, is this still the case or have things changed?

    • Tamas Daniel, I've googled the SDK for windows for the last several hours!! If you find anything other than emulators your a better man than me :-) It's just bugging me why titanium would put the iphone sdk referance in if it does'nt exist?!
Sattanaathan Ravi, downloading the vmware and osx as we speak.. I'm a developer by trade and work in the MS enviroment reluctant to look at osx in the fear that I might become the resident expert in this at work!! Iphones are becoming the phone of choice at work and have been asked to look at developing bespoke apps for this plateform.

    • Hi Andy, don't get upset :) only that each time appears somebody that asks how to develop for iPhone on windows. It is not possible, is the Apple's rule - wanna develop for mac? buy one( ugly, yes ).
Titanium is multiplatform, so it will work on any of this environments as long as it is possible by the SDK( the iphone one it's not ).

For the vmware part, it's possible, but you'll need a beast to run it at a decent speed. You might consider a hackintosh if you have a spare computer/hdd :)

  • I guess this will never happen.. You can only use it to create android (and in the futere BB apps)

  • Why Andy? It's easier to ask on the forum then do a simple google "iphone sdk on wingowz"…

  • If you look here: http://assets.appcelerator.com.s3.amazonaws.com/docs/GettingStartedTitanium_Windows.pdf

Under step 0 Development environment requirements:

It clearly states that If you’re developing for iPhone or iPad, you must use Mac OS X for your development and xCode
