What files can both Android/iPhones View?

Well I am making a Video Player for one of my Apps and I am in need of some information. Pretty much:

What file type (.m4v, .3gp, .mp4, etc.) do both Android (1.6+) and iOS (3.2+) view? I was trying .3gp and iOS ran it, but I'm not sure about Android because I keep getting an error when I try to run that emulator (As seen here)

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Android supports 3GP video playback as well. I think it's safe to use but I recommend testing it on device.

    • Ahh, alright. Thank you Richard! :)

PS - I would test it, but I keep getting this whenever I try to build it, and my Android device isn't recognizable by my computer :\

  • Devices provide different codecs. Search Q&A. There are other threads here that go into detail on requirements.
