Map displays empty
Hi, I am quite new to appcelerator, and am now trying to get a few simple apps working locally (with little luck). I want to display a map, and used the code in the API, but the map doesn't display, the grid loads, and the +/- to zoom, but the actual graphic doesn't appear.
I am running locally on a windows machine, testing in android (APIs 1.6).
If anyone has a good idea as to why this is occurring, it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you developing on OSX or on Windows?
Because for Android, you will need to obtain a map key from Google to use maps in your application.

I am on windows. I read that about the keys, but thought that was only if was distributing (whereas I am just playing locally), and therefore didn't think I needed one.
Is there a nice easy way to retrieve a debug key in windows?
