Selecting SDK's

I've had 4.1 installed and the dropdown in Titanium shows me 3.2 and 4.1, but whenever I install 4.2 SDK, I am only given the option for 4.2.

Anyone know a workaround w/o killing off 4.2?

  • If you run this from Terminal what do you get for output?

    /Developer/usr/bin/xcodebuild -showsdks

  • hmmm I get this:

    Mac OS X SDKs:
        Mac OS X 10.5 -sdk macosx10.5
        Mac OS X 10.6 -sdk macosx10.6

    iOS SDKs:
        iOS 4.2 -sdk iphoneos4.2

    iOS Simulator SDKs:
        Simulator - iOS 3.2 -sdk iphonesimulator3.2
        Simulator - iOS 4.0 -sdk iphonesimulator4.0
        Simulator - iOS 4.1 -sdk iphonesimulator4.1
        Simulator - iOS 4.2 -sdk iphonesimulator4.2

so.. is it not possible to have more then one SDK installed at a time?

    • That's funny, because I have beta 4.2 installed and this is what I see when I run the command:

      Mac OS X SDKs:
          Mac OS X 10.5 -sdk macosx10.5
          Mac OS X 10.6 -sdk macosx10.6

      iOS Device SDKs:
          Device - iPhone OS 3.2 -sdk iphoneos3.2
          Device - iOS 4.1 -sdk iphoneos4.1

      iOS Simulator SDKs:
          Simulator - iOS 3.2 -sdk iphonesimulator3.2
          Simulator - iOS 4.0 -sdk iphonesimulator4.0
          Simulator - iOS 4.1 -sdk iphonesimulator4.1

  • Yes. I do not know of any easy way to get around this unfortunately. The older version of the SDK use to allow you to select the different versions and install them. I think that disappeared with iOS 4.0+.

  • I did the same thing. I had my iPad and iPhone at 4.2 and downgraded so I can test.

  • Hey John -

Do you have mobileMe? Did you have any issues with it syncing to the phone after the downgrade?
