Using iOS Keychain

Hi

I was looking for how to store credentials using iOS keychain, but, could not find anything in the documentation.

How can I securely save a credential using iOS keychain?

Kind regards

JR

  • Hi Stamatios.

I had the same problem and ended up writing a Titanium Module for accessing the iOS Keychain. It's available here, and I'm using it on one iOS application in production. Check it out!

Again, full disclosure: I'm the autor of the module.

  • Hey Ruben, I just purchased this and excited to use it but can't seem to find the documentation to walk me throw how to get it up and running. In the downloaded file I a see is a an "iphone" folder with a file called "com.0x82.keychain". Any help is appreciated!

    • To follow up. It seems that perhaps in LION the folder called "com.0x82.keychain" is not showing as a folder so I was confused about what the file was. Control-clickign on "com.0x82.keychain" and using SHOW PACKAGE CONTENTS allowed me to see the contents of my download. Still haven't gotten it to work properly yet but I guess I'm a step closer. Should it go in /Library/Application Support/Titanium/Modules/iphone/com.0x82.keychain?

      thanks!

    • Since this morning we are getting a big red window "Unlicensed module(s) detected" and the app is blocked while using this module.

      Anyone having this issue ?

    • Yes. I just checked and I'm also getting this error now. I sent a message to the developer via twitter. Hopefully its a quick fix.
