Background processing and background location

Are background processing and background location supported yet on iOS? If not when is this expected to be released?

  • I'd also like to know if background location will be available.

    Have my app ready in Android to find out now that it will not work in iOS 4,
    that's a pity and destroys my whole project.

    I tried to set the backgroudproperty in Info.plist and recompiled the project from XCode, but the Appcelerator Framework does not support it.

  • OK did it. Jailbroke the 3G, put on modified 4.1 with cydia and background tool, works like a charm. Tracking in background, an also when it goes to sleep tracks super!

    Tomorrow I will check on unbroken 3GS.
