Crash after splash screen of HelloWorld or KitchenSink

I'm using 1.2.1 Titanium, 1.4.1.1 SDK, and 4.2 iOS SDK targeting the iPad. I only have the 4.2 iOS SDK installed. The Hello World and the Kitchen Sink apps both simply launch in the simulator and then crash immediately right after the splash screen. I get the same behavior running from Titanium and from XCode. By debugging in XCode, it is crashing in the start method KrollContext where the NSThread call is issuing a SIGABRT signal.

This seems similar to this forum entry

This is my first experience with Titanium.

Is there any workaround for this issue? Does Titanium support the latest iOS SDK?
