Stucked at the building application step...

Hi,

I'm very new to the world of Titanium Developer and after following carefully the get started guide, my helloworld application doesn't start.

The emulator runs correctly but Titanium Developer gets stucked at the building step (I've waited for half an hour…). I've tried a lot of solutions found on different forums, but I can't find the source of the problem.

I use Windows7 32bits, with Titanium Developer 1.2.1 and the Android SDK is set to APIs 1.6, as mentioned in the get started guide.

Here is what I get:

[INFO] Launching Android emulator...one moment
[DEBUG] From: C:\android-sdk\tools\emulator.exe
[DEBUG] SDCard: C:\Users\Kaizen\.titanium\android2.sdcard
[DEBUG] AVD ID: 2
[DEBUG] AVD Skin: WVGA854
[DEBUG] SDK: C:\android-sdk
[DEBUG] C:\android-sdk\tools\adb.exe start-server
[INFO] Emulator is running.
[INFO] Building HelloWorld for Android ... one moment

And then nothing happens…

Any idea is more than welcome!

Thanks for the help :)

  • Sorry for the typo, I'm using the SDK 1.4.0.
Actually, the application runs correctly when I use the Titanium SDK 1.2.0, but get stucked at the build step when I use the SDK 1.4.0.

    Any idea?

    Thanks for the help!

  • Please anyone?
Why does helloWorld application starts correctly with Titanium Mobile SDK 1.2.0 but stay at the build step with Titanium Mobile SDK 1.4.0?

  • Welcome to the world of frustration which is known as titanium. ;)

I would be very surprised if you got a useful response to this.

I'm having some very random issues after I chose to upgrade to the latest version of titanium.. now nothing seems to work.

Titanium is a great idea.. but it's still extremely flimsy.

  • You might need to copy your files, delete your app, re-create it with 1.4.x selected and then put just the files in your resources folder back where in again. Appcelerator often needs this. Give it a try, a bit of work but it has often solved my issues.
