iOS 4.2 compile and run

Hi

I've just updated my xCode to the latest version and now I can't compile my programs.
My Titanium Mobile SDK version is 1.4.2 and my Titanium Developer version is 1.2.1.

When I try to run my app the output is:

Would be great if someone could help me!
Thanks
Felix

  • I usually remove everything under <app root>/build/iphone/ when I switch to a newer SDK. It will rebuild everything from scratch.

    • Hi
Thanks for your answer. When I delete the content of these folders, it works sometimes, but not every time.

    • I was having the same problem and deleting the build folders worked perfectly, many thanks!

  • Now it works sometimes (about every 10th try). I don't think, that's a good solution. Apple will reject the app when it crashed nearly every time I start it. I deleted the whole content of iPhonebuild folder.
What am I doing wrong? If you need some more information to help me, please let me know.

    Thanks

    • I can't even run it on the simulator. On the device it doesn't work either…

  • it was so tempting to update to 4.2 for me too. luckily, I didn't, because I came to the forum first to check out what happened to those early birdies. haha.

  • Hi Felix,

did you ensure that your project uses SDK 1.4.2? I had a similar issue until I noticed that my project was still using 1.4.1.1. After setting the project to 1.4.2 the app starts fine in the simulator.

    Regards,
    Christoph

    • Yes, I am sure.. it is 1.4.2. I also tried to use a beta version of 1.5. I always delete the whole content of the build folder, but this doesn't help. Do you have any other ideas?

  • So if the latest version of Xcode doesn't work well with Titanium, which version of Xcode do you recommend for developing with Titanium?
    Thanks!
    Felix
