Creating a wizard interface

Hi all,

I've been playing with Appcelerator for about a month on and off now and I'm getting the hang of the core things that I want to use like mapping and retrieving data from web pages and now I'm moving on to concentrating on the user interface.

I want to implement a wizard style interface that works on both iPhone and Android with the traditional "Next" and "Back" buttons type thing. I've looked into doing it with separate windows but that seems complicated in terms of being able to access global data. I've also looked at maybe using tabs but I have about 7 steps in my wizard and 7 tabs is too many to fit nicely.

I'm really not sure of the best way to go about this and I was hoping you guys could give me some pointers in the right direction.

Thanks for your time

Keith

  • don't think you can smack both flies at once,… for iPhone, check out navigation group. can't help you with android.

    good luck

    • I saw the navigation group was only for iPhone so was hoping to kind of implement my own cross platform version or something like that.

  • I'm looking for suggestions on a wizard UI too. I was wondering about using a ScrollableView for it.

  • In Kitchen Sink app , titanium offers a scrollable view wizard like structure. You can refer that.
